Microarray & Miniaturization

SQI’s proprietary microarray technology has unlocked five keys that have not been possible with microarray multiplexed technologies:

  • Separating and quantifying the detection events for both antigens and each class of antibody within the same test well.
  • High signal-to-noise ratios enabling diagnostic grade precision and accuracy.
  • High speed spot printing that covalently binds capture spots to glass substrates generating reproducible arrays of test spots every well, every plate, every patient.
  • Multiple levels of quality control built in to evaluate every well for completeness and precision.
  • Automated assay processing and algorithms lead to a complete and traceable result every time.

SQI microarrays are unique in that they exist in a two dimensional planar environment. This, along with our proprietary technology, avoids potential cross reactivity that IVD 3–dimensional bead technologies may encounter. Not having potential analyte compatibility issues opens the door to a large number of highly desirable test panels. The SQI technology affords freedom from most of these obstacles and offers the promise of confidence, profit and growth to all leading clinical laboratories.

High throughput 96-well microarray assay plate

The QuantiSpot™ microarray assay uses a Society for Biomolecular Screening (SBS) 96-well microtiter standard plate format. There are 73 billable wells (including all controls) available to generate a billable patient result for multiple analytes. The SQiDworks™ Diagnostics Platform is designed to run up to three individual plates in a batch, allowing processing and analysis of up to a total of 219 (73 x 3) patient samples per run in approximately four hours (results of first plate in ~3.0 hours = 180 minutes). When combined with the multiplexing benefits of these assays, the total number of analyzed microarray test spots for a 4-plex QuantiSpot plate rheumatoid arthritis assay is 812 tests.
